Goals
from Scott Preston, Darren Jones and Ryan Warn (Matt Donahue) gave the ACES a
3-1 lead that vanished in the third period after the MULLIGANS scored 5
unanswered. The 6-3 loss was the ACES second in a row and dropped them to
fifth place in the Federal C league. They sit one point behind POWERTIME. The
FLYING ACES are back at Aspen Ice Arena for a three game home stand that
starts tonight. But it is no easy path. The B league WHACK-A-MOLE squad that
swept the ACES out of the finals the last two seasons comes in with a 1-2-3
Iron B record and are hungry for a win. The ACE bench is extremely short.
Marcolini, Preston, Gianetti and Turner are all out. 'Juvy' Lou Johnson and
Steve W. were recalled from the Perkasie Red Barons, but Johnson could not
make the bus to New Jersey due to inclement weather. As the snow continues to
fall, your FLYING ACES are ready for battle.
