Forward, Bill Marcolini, started the season
on IR with an upper body injury and defenseman, Ryan Bleck,
was a game time decision with a lower body
injury. Craig Jones, Scott Preston and Ryan Warn were
healthy scratches.
The ACES came for the AS Cup with a powerful 9 goal
offensive display that brought their franchise record back to .500 (46-46-5).
The BOMBERS did light the lamp 5 times in the battle.
Josh Lovering took first star honors with his
3 goal performance. Kyle Turner had 2 goals and 3 assists. Mike Petersen had 2
goals and an assist. Steve Leoszewski had a goal and 2 assists. Kevin
Smith had a goal and an assist. Darren Jones and Mike Gianetti had 3
assists each. Ryan Bleck, Eric Kusznier and Derek Weaver all had
assists.
The ACE win puts the AS Cup tally at FLYING
ACES-6 wins and BOMBERS-5.
The ACES head out for a two game road trip that
starts Sunday night with a brand new Federal C team. The FLYING
DUTCHMEN.
